Liverpool Film Maker Paints the Town Red
28 July 2005 |

Painting the Town Red is an emotional, funny and triumphant depiction of the scenes outside St George’s Hall as the team bring back the European Cup.
Produced and presented by well-known Merseyside broadcaster Charles Lambert the film focuses not just on the players aboard the open-top bus but also the amazing Red Sea of supporters who packed St George’s Plateau for hours just for a glimpse of their heroes. This is as much about the fans who perched on traffic lights, climbed to the very top of Lime Street Station or simply turned up in their thousands as it is about the team. But the focal point is the appearance of the Champions League winners themselves, complete with John Arne Riise clowning, Djibril Cisse beating out the rhythm and Luis Garcia hoisting the silverware.
Executive producer Charlie Lambert is pleased to offer NW Business Club members the DVD at the reduced price of £7.99.
