Time to Get On Your Bike For The British Heart Foundation
28 July 2005 |
The British Heart Foundation Heart of the Kingdom Challenge is a challenging 12 mile hike through the beautiful Forest of Bowland as part of ITV’s National Walking Day on Sunday 18th September. Over 150 people took part in last year’s event and this year we want to make it even bigger and better by doubling the numbers!
Dave Padley, Countryside Officer for the Forest of Bowland said of the event, "The Forest of Bowland is an area of international importance because of its richly diverse landscape and wildlife, and the Heart of the Kingdom Challenge captures the true essence of this area of outstanding natural beauty. This is a real challenge, once undertaken, it will never be forgotten".
The entry fee is just £5 and when we have received this, along with your completed registration form, we will send you a full sponsorship pack. By asking your friends and family to sponsor you, you will be raising essential funds to keep hearts beating in the UK.
