Northern Exposure at the BBC
01 July 2005 |
The BBC's Northern Exposure programme invests in writers in collaboration with theatres, and arts organisations across the North. It's funding writers-in-residence, commissions, seed commissions, master classes, writers’ groups, workshops, development rehearsals, pitching sessions, readings and forums to inspire and develop new writing.
BBC Northern Exposure recently renewed its commitment to grassroots talent in the north by signing up a raft of BBC Talent Scouts across the region. From Liverpool to Hull, Cleveland to Blackpool and all points in between, there's a BBC representative on call to come and see your work in performance. If you'd like to let them know about a performance of a piece of new work, please email new.writing@bbc.co.uk with the details and they will do our their best to send someone along.
Northern exposure's project manager Melanie Harris can be reached at melanie.harris@bbc.co.uk . To join a mailing list for northern exposure in a particular area, email your details to new.writing@bbc.co.uk citing the city in the subject field.
BBC writersroom can be reached on 020 7765 2703 at 1 Mortimer Street, London, W1T 3JA.
